The Best Hair Colourist in Parsons Green

I love building high performing teams and I often ask myself who the best Hair Colourist is that I know and how we measure up to other Colourists in our area of Parsons Green and the surrounding neighbourhoods of Chelsea, Fulham, Putney, Hammersmith, Kensington, Knightsbridge and Wandsworth. There is a lot of talent out there and I’m always looking to grow our hair team. I often go and see what other places and Colourists are doing well or differently so that we can develop and improve.

We’ve been in the national UK L’Oreal Hair Colour Finals for two of the last three years. And in some categories we were the only salon to make it through from London. So I have spent a lot of time pondering what makes a Colourist the best in London. Whilst everyone loves to win an award on reflection there are thousands of Hairdressers who don’t get recognised and they don’t care. For them it’s the connection and the experience between the Colourist and their client that determines who the best is. Can they get you and your hair to a place where they are not only adding Colour to your hair but they are adding colour to your life?

Here are some of the things that I believe separates the best Colourists in London from the rest:

  1. Technical Skills and Capability. High ability in various coloring techniques (balayage, ombre, highlights, etc.)
  2. Knowledgeof hair types and colour theory. The best Colourists are always learning and reading and watching tutorials and attending events and talking to other Colourists.
  3. A trusted point of reference. They share examples of their work online via their social channels, or from a friend of yours or in a publication or on their website?
  4. Client Reviews.Do they have reviews online on Fresha.com or on Google? Take a few minutes and read through the good and the bad and make your own mind up.
  5. Personality. Does this person have a personality and values that you love? Its a lot of time to spend with someone that gives you find irritating or lacking in common values.
  6. Good Energy. Good energy flows and you can feel it flowing through both of you during an appointment. If the energy is bad then the connection isn’t there.
  7. An Eye for Detail. Colour is half science and half art and you need someone with an eye for precision.
  8. Confidence in their work. When a Colourist recommends something new with confidence we follow them. When they are not confident we don’t.
  9. Customer Care.A great Colourist has an open door to come back or to ask questions or to fix problems.
  10. Staying Current: Keeping up with industry trends, new products, and techniques to offer the best options to clients.
  11. Problem-Solving: Skill in addressing and correcting color mishaps, ensuring client satisfaction.
  12. Passion: A genuine love for hair color and the artistry involved, driving continuous improvement and inspiration.Book in for a Colour appointment at Blush + Blow and message me about how you think we measure up against this list. I look forward to us adding a bit more colour to your life.
